HOW LASER REMOVAL WORKS

Laser tattoo removal effectively fades unwanted ink from the skin by breaking down ink particles into fragments, which can then be absorbed by the body over the weeks following each laser session. The process involves the laser targeting layers of ink, progressively working through until all layers are treated. As the laser interacts with the ink particles, they absorb the light energy, heat up, and subsequently shatter into smaller pieces, allowing the body's immune system to naturally flush them out over time.

    Laser treatments are effective on most ink colors and are safe for all skin types.


    Darker skin tones may require extra care. Your Black Armor laser technician will work to customize treatment plans to your needs.

  • IS FULL REMOVAL POSSIBLE?

    Laser tattoo removal treatment is up to 99% effective. Tattoos react differently to treatment, making the number of required sessions unknown. We will work with you until all removable ink is gone!

  • HOW DOES IT WORK?

    The ink pigment in the skin absorbs and is shattered by extremely short pulses of light energy. Your body naturally removes the fragments from your skin over time, creating a visibly faded tattoo.

  • HOW MANY TREATMENTS ARE REQUIRED?

    Each tattoo is handled by a case-by-case basis. Full removal requires more sessions than a fade-down. Many variables affect effectiveness such as age of tattoo, depth of ink, ink color, client health, location, ink density, existing scarring, and more.

  • WHAT TO EXPECT AFTER TREATMENT

    Clients often experience temporary redness, swelling, tenderness, blisters and/or scabs. Darker skin tones may experience temporary discoloration around the treated area.

The Astanza Duality is a powerful laser that boasts high pulse energy and ultra-short pulses of 6000 picoseconds to produce intense peak power for optimum ink shattering and faster fading. The Duality produces two of the most versatile wavelengths for laser tattoo removal, 1064 nm and 532 nm.
